Finally crossed “making croissants
from scratch” off my baking list. It was quite an ordeal! So much kneading and
proofing and butter and waiting! At the end of the daylong process, I
realized I could have flown to Paris and wandered into my favorite boulangerie in the time it
took me to make my own batch (next time!). Quand même, ils étaient très bons!
